Story by Tsaone Basimanebotlhe

Botswana: The Parliament of Botswana has been adjourned due to heavy rains in the country. The severe weather has caused significant disruptions in many activities in the country.

The heavy rains have resulted in the closure of government schools with immediate effect, as announced by the Minister of Basic and Child Welfare, Nono Mokoka-Kgafela, which will last until Monday.

In response to the situation, the disaster management team is currently on the ground, assisting those impacted by relocating them to safer areas, as many homes have been affected by both the rains and flooding.
