H.E. João Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola and Outgoing Chairperson of the African Union (AU), met with the leadership of the Pan-African Parliament, led by President Chief Fortune Charumbira, on the margins of the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government at the AU headquarters.

During the meeting, the Pan-African Parliament delegation expressed gratitude to President Lourenço for his steadfast support of the continental Parliament throughout his tenure as Chairperson of the Union, as he prepared to pass the baton to Burundi.
